The Guy Gibson Room

Relax
In Your Room

The Wellington has 15 rooms, each with en-suite bath and/or shower and temperature controlled central heating.
Tea and coffee making facilities and a colour television are standard and radios can be provided subject to availability. Family rooms are available together with a Video with children's videos on loan if required.
We also provide direct dial telephones, modem points or Internet access via a wireless network.
Pictured above is one of our two themed rooms named after two of our most prominent guests. This is the Guy Gibson room, named after Guy Gibson VC of "Dam Busters" fame, who states in his book that the Wellington was his “favourite hostelry”.
The other is the Thomas Hardy room (not pictured) on the right
Both of these rooms are Superior Double turret rooms.
Pictured right is a superior cottage room.

In The Residents' Lounge   Tea By The Fire

Our residents lounge is situated in the commemorative turret at the front of the hotel where, from it's position on the first floor, a fine view across the valley can be enjoyed.
In the winter months (or whenever there's a nip in the air) you willl always be welcomed to the warmth and comfort of a traditional log fire.
A perfect place to take afternoon tea with homemade cakes and scones, or why not spend some time reading or watching a movie?

However you feel you need to wind down, the residents' lounge is the perfect place to relax.

Relax
In The Garden

Much of the garden architecture was destroyed in the flood of 2004 but work has been going on to restore and improve the facilities to provide the perfect setting for those warm summer evenings for alfresco drinking.
We also host the occasional Garden Party with live music, barbecues and even special offers on beers and wines to help make your visit even more pleasurable (for details of all our events and special occasions see the Music Page the Bar Page or the Specials Page)
